One Big Happy Yarn Co. sought to expand their branded notions line with a custom knitting gauge, a functional tool used by knitters to measure stitch counts. The challenge was to create a device that was accurate, durable, and distinctly "on-brand," moving beyond the standard rectangular rulers found in the market.
I designed a custom die-cut form factor that integrated precise measuring windows (1-inch and 4-inch increments) and needle sizing holes. The design required strict adherence to manufacturing tolerances to ensure the tool was not just a branded souvenir, but a reliable instrument for serious crafters.
Custom contour cut paths with 1:1 scale calibration for accurate manufacturing.
